01What this is

These terms apply to the iPhone app Sence? Classic and to this website. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not, the remedy is simple and complete: delete the app.

02The game

Sence? Classic is a deck of 120 dilemma cards. Every card offers two answers, both of which a reasonable person could defend. There is no scoring, no winner and no correct answer hidden anywhere in the app. What you get out of a card is what the people around you say about it.

How you use the deck at your table is up to you. Ignore a card, argue with a card, invent your own rule — none of that is against these terms.

03The cards are not advice

The questions on the cards exist to start conversations. None of them is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and none should be used or relied on as such. Some cards touch on relationships, work, money and family because those are the subjects people actually argue about — that is the design, not a recommendation.

If a card touches something difficult for someone at your table, put it aside. That is a normal part of playing this game.

04Playing with other people

Sence? is played out loud, with people in the same room. You are responsible for how you play it and for what you choose to say. Please use judgement about who is at the table and what they are comfortable answering — the deck sets the questions, but only you know the room.

05What belongs to whom

The card texts, the illustrations, the pack artwork, the sounds and the design of the game belong to Sence? and are protected by copyright. Your licence to use them is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable: play the game as much as you like, on any device your App Store account allows.

What that licence does not cover: copying the card texts or artwork into another product, app, deck, book or website; reselling or redistributing the app or its content; reverse-engineering the app or extracting its deck; or using the Sence? name or artwork to promote something that is not Sence?.

Sharing a photo or a video of a card with friends, or on social media, is fine and always has been.

06The app is offered as it is

We build and test this app with care, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not promise that every card will land well with every group, or that the app will work identically on every device and every version of iOS.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

07If something is broken

If the app misbehaves, or a card comes up wrong — a typo, a mistranslation, an option that does not read as an equal choice — we would like to hear about it. That is the only way it gets fixed. Write to loopiosoftware@gmail.com.

08Purchases and the App Store

The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store, and Apple’s own terms cover your download, any payment and any refund. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We have no ads, no subscription and no in-app purchases.

09Privacy

Sence? Classic collects no personal data. The details are in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10Changes

New cards, new decks and new ways to play may arrive over time, and these terms may be updated with them. When they change, the date at the top of this page changes too. Continuing to use the app after an update means accepting the current version.
